Blue fairy village
visit us along the stairway on Lende Plaza next to the footbridge
Our story
The Blue Fairy Village started out a few years ago as a Winter Solstice Village beneath the Christmas Tree on Lende Plaza. Board member, Jessie Hennen. had a dream of creating a small village from the time she was a child. With donated doll houses, the village came to life. Every winter the Granite Area Arts Council created a different version on the plaza space next to the K.K. Berge Building . In the summer of 2025, the City of Granite Falls gave us permission to create a permanent village in the garden space along the Lende Plaza stairs. This area changes as new Fairies and Gnomes move in and create their homes. It was then named the Blue Fairy Village in honor of the blue “ fairy” painting above the village. Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Granite Falls for their annual grants that support workshops and help purchase supplies for the village. The public is welcome to add their own creations or drop off supplies at the K.K. Berge Building.
