About Us

The Granite Area Arts Council is a 501C3 non profit organization led by volunteers who are excited about bringing all types of art and events to rural Minnesota.

We exist on the generous donations of our friends and local businesses. Please support the arts in our rural community. Donations can be submitted online using the below or mailed to the Granite Area Arts Council, 807 Prentice St., Granite Falls, MN 56241 .

The GAAC owns and operates the the historic K.K. Berge Building at 807 Prentice St. which hosts a different regional artist every 4 weeks in the Riverside and Emerging Artist Galleries and gives artists a venue to sell their artwork in our gift shop, Makers on the Minnesota . We also host events inside and out of our building located right next to the Minnesota River.

We are the host organization for the Community Artist in Residence program and a partner in Meander Friday Night and Squid Fest. Three artists are in our space during the annual Meander Art Crawl the fist weekend in October. We host monthly Makers Markets with live music in the summer months.

Our organization meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 4 pm in the K.K. Berge Building in downtown Granite Falls. All are welcome, join us with your ideas or just come to listen. Donations enable us to bring our programs to our community, keep our building open and sustain our organization. Any amount is welcome!
